Halloween costumes by Google

Want to scare up some business this Halloween? Try Google Frightgeist

Google is more than just a search engine — it also does some fun experiments with visualizing data and user behavior.

If your kids (or you!) are still trying to decide what to be this year, Frightgeist (a Google Trends experiment) will show you what 2015’s most-searched Halloween costumes were across the country.

Every day, over 3 billion searches take place on Google, and Google Trends gives us an unparalleled look at what the world is searching for. With Frightgeist, we went on a hunt to find the most popular Halloween costumes of 2015. Pulling from 500 costume searches in the United States, Frightgeist used Google Trends to tell people what costumes were trending around them and help them find a costume that was sure to turn heads.
